Warning(s): None Disclaimer: JKR owns the characters… this is just a bit of fun. I’ve got to stop looking at these challenges--I’ve got enough to do already! But, once again, this one called to me so here’s a little something I jotted down. :) “Are these sliced thinly enough for you?” Harry studied the freshly cut ginger critically as Severus moved to stand behind him, leaning over Harry’s shoulder to inspect his work. “Perhaps not as neat as I’m used to, but they will suffice.” “I think that’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said about my potion-making skills,” Harry smirked. Turning, he found himself level with an expanse of pale neck. Unable to resist temptation, Harry swiped his tongue across it, feeling an answering shudder. Severus removed the knife from Harry’s hand and looked down at him, eyes glittering. “Your greater talents lie elsewhere.”

Question
Does anyone know if the Snarry site 'Walking The Plank' is still going? There doesn't seem to be any activity on there anymore, even though new people are still joining. I just wondered if it's another lost cause.

Severus sensed that something was wrong as soon as Harry returned home. “Problems?” “Stevenson and Hinkley,” Harry huffed, throwing his cloak off. Severus frowned. “Your fellow Auror recruits?” “I thought we were friends, as well as colleagues, but… it seems they don’t approve of people like me.” Beginning to see the issue, Severus snagged Harry’s hand and pulled him down to sit. “Like you?” “Like us,” Harry amended quietly. Severus tilted Harry’s chin up. “It is their loss. Friends come and go, Harry, but those who love you will always stay.” Harry linked their fingers. “And I’m staying with you.”

Why?” “Someone’s waiting for you in reception, and he’s scaring the hell out of the other Aurors.” Harry laughed, stretching. “Most of them are probably former students.” Filing the report, he stood to grab his coat. “I’m on my way.” Severus stood with his customary scowl in place, managing to intimidate simply by his presence. Only Harry saw the softness that crept into his expression as their eyes met. “Dinner?” Smiling, Harry took his arm. “Brilliant.”

He had to wait a moment for the rumbling reply. “Tuesday.” “And?” Harry prompted. Severus cracked one eye open. “If you’re referring to the infernal so-called holiday that turns the entire population into love-sick teenagers and my classroom into chaos, I generally attempt to ignore its existence.” “What, no hearts and flowers?” Harry grinned mischievously, tweaking a nipple. Severus grasped his hands firmly and rolled over, pinning the younger man down. “If you insist on celebrating, there are more pleasurable methods.” Harry was happy to see stars instead.

This is a sequel to my last drabble A Welcome Interruption. :) Giving up on the remainder of his work, Severus got to his feet and swept towards the door. Perhaps there was a chance of enjoying at least some of his evening. Flinging the door open, he abruptly collided with something warm and solid. “Sorry Severus! I was just wondering—“ “My apologies Potter. I thought perhaps—“ They both stopped talking, Harry with a huge grin on his face and Severus with a quizzical eyebrow raised. Gryffindor courage shining in his eyes, Harry leaned in to meet Severus’ lips in a kiss that Severus quickly dominated. A Merry Christmas indeed.

Damn! “Yes!” Severus snapped, not bothering to look up from his work when someone entered the room. “I know you’re busy,” a familiar voice said, a little apologetically, “but I thought that maybe you could use a glass of holiday cheer.” Severus looked up, taking in Harry’s appearance. The younger man had obviously come from the staff party and looked positively dashing. “Is it safe?” Harry laughed. “Don’t worry, I didn’t make it.” Smirking, Severus accepted the glass with a nod of thanks. When Harry took his leave, Severus discovered that the solitude he’d craved no longer held the same appeal.

At Last

Warning(s): None Disclaimer: JKR owns the characters… this is just a bit of fun. I only wrote this quickly (I literally have drabbles coming out of my ears!) so it's probably not brilliant, but I figured offering something was better than nothing. With a few final farewells to the Aurors who hadn’t yet left, Harry threw a handful of floo powder into the fire and watched the flames turn bright green before stepping inside. It had been a hectic day, following up leads and making sure he was up to date with all of his paperwork, but now he could finally go home for the holidays. “Professor Snape’s quarters, Hogwarts!” Severus was waiting for him, with a glass of whisky and a promising smirk. “About time.” Harry wasted no time in pulling him into a deep kiss. “Merry Christmas to you, too.”

Merry Christmas! :) The astronomy tower was bathed in darkness, deserted except for two figures sitting wrapped in a blanket and gazing at the night sky. “Remember the first time I kissed you?” Harry asked softly, breaking the comfortable silence. Severus inclined his head slightly. “On a starry night much like this one.” “I was so nervous,” Harry said, smiling at the memory. “Indeed? You seemed very… self-assured.” Harry laughed. “It was all an act, believe me.” He paused a moment before continuing. “Are we… is this what you expected?” “No,” Severus murmured, brushing his lips against Harry’s neck. “It is much more.”
